Rabbi Yosef Kanefsky received rabbinical ordination and a Master’s degree in Jewish history from Yeshiva University. He served as the Associate Rabbi at the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale from 1990-1996. He joined B'nai David-Judea in LA in 1996. Rabbi Kanefsky was recently named one of the 50 most influential Rabbis in America, and one of the top 25 pulpit Rabbis by Newsweek magazine.

Rabbi Devin Villarreal is a LA native is an Orthodox rabbi, community educator, and a Rebbe at the Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy in Los Angeles.
Rabbi Drew Kaplan is the Rabbi in Long Beach, California providing rabbinic services on multiple campuses in Southern California ( including CSU-Long Beach, CSU-Fullerton, Chapman University, UC-Irvine, UC-Riverside, CSU-San Bernardino, University of Redlands).

Michael Feldman Michael Feldman practices employment law, with a focus on discrimination and harassment, and conducts mediations for the Los Angeles Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Michael worked as a substitute teacher for Los Angeles Unified School District, working primarily in inner city neighborhoods, often in special education

Gabe Meyerson is a Jewish educator, most recently teaching at Shalhevet High School, residing in West Los Angeles.

Rabbi Jonathan Klein is the Executive Director at CLUE-LA, a economic justice and labor organizing organization in Los Angeles. Prior, Rabbi Klein served as the Executive Director of the USC Hillel for 8 years and as the Development Director for Progressive Jewish Alliance.

Dr. Miriam Heller Stern is the Dean of the Fingerhut School of Education. Previously, she served as Director of Curriculum and Research and Coordinator of the Teaching Certificate program for Orthodox teachers and taught at Shalhevet High School."

Rabbi Yechiel Hoffman is a teacher at Milken Day School in Los Angeles and is a community educator.

Rabbi Ari Leubitz is the Principle of Judaic Studies at the Modern Orthodox Shalhevet High School in Los Angeles.
Lisa Rose is a member of Congregation Beth Jacob in Los Angeles, is a leader of a CSA initiative, and has a blog on contemporary food issues.
Rabbi Benjamin Resnick is a musmach of Yeshiva University RIETS and is a Rebbe at the New Community Jewish High School in the Valley in LA.

Amanda Gelb was raised in LA and serves as the CAO (Chief Administrative Officer) and Director of Development of the Visual Exchange Network's Choir to Choir project.

Sam Yebri is the President of "30 Years After" and is a Persian Jewish laywer and activist.

Jonathan Greenblatt is an entrepreneur and successful corporate executive, a member of the faculty at the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, and an acknowledged thought leader on corporate social responsibility, ethical branding and social entrepreneurship. Greenblatt earned a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Tufts University. Greenblatt is president and a board member of Our Good Works, the nonprofit organization responsible for All for Good. Jonathan formerly served as CEO of GOOD Worldwide where he oversaw its growth from a magazine publishing company into a diversified media company and lifestyle brand. Prior to his appointment to GOOD, Greenblatt co-founded Ethos Brands, the business that launched Ethos Water, the premium bottled water that helps children around the world get clean water.
Jessica Youseffi is an Iranian Jewess hailing from London and currently pursuing a degree in Print and Online Journalism at the University of Southern California.

A recent Southern California transplant to Los Angeles by way of Jerusalem, Rebecca Cariati Abramzon Southern Californiabuilds upon eight years of involvement in interfaith and Jewish social justice and peace work. Currently, Rebecca is the Director of Developement for the Ariela Foundation in North America and working with Encounter in the areas of development and communications.
Gary Hirschhorn is a software developer and currently
a co-chair of the Tikkun Olam Committee at Bnai David-Judea.
Abigael Yasgur has spent her career in public service, most recently as the Director of the Jewish Community Library of Los Angeles. She is a member of the executive boards at both Congregation B'nai David-Judea and Shalhevet High School. She is the co-author of Max Said Yes! The Woodstock Story. She is married to Joseph Lipner and has three kids.
Dr. Michael Avi Helfand holds a JD and Doctorate from Yale University and is a law professor at Pepperdine University.

Asher Shasho-Levy
is an active member of the Los Angeles Sephardic community, Asher has worked for many years with LASHA, a Los Angeles organization promoting the well being of elderly Sephardim in Los Angeles, serves as a shaliach tzibur at Sephardic Temple Tifereth Israel, where his father Rabbi Jay Shasho-Levy serves as Rabbi, and participated in a summer 2010 Sephardic Educational Center Leadership Seminar in Jerusalem. Asher has dedicated much time and energy to LimmudLA as a musician, organizer and teacher, where he met and was touched by the brilliant and courageous work of Rav Shmuly, who he is truly excited to be working with at Uri L’Tzedek.
