U.S. Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez, D-Ill recently introduced a bill that would provide serious legal protection for undocumented immigrants in the United States. Join Uri L'Tzedek, Rav Yitzchak Blau, and Miriam Ignatoff from the Hebrew Immigrant Aide Society on Thursday, March 11th from 7:30-9 as we study the Jewish perspective on immigration, and learn more about efforts to pass immigration reform legislation. This event is also co-sponsored by Pardes.

Rav Yitzchak Blau, the Rosh Kollel at Yeshivat Shvilei HaTorah & the author of Fresh Fruit & Vintage Wine (a book on aggadah) will be coming in from Israel and will be teaching on "Compassion for the Convert in the Jewish Tradition."

The event will be located at the Mt. Sinai Shul, 135 Bennett Avenue (at W. 187th St, 1 block west of Broadway) in Washington Heights. A free dinner will be served.
