Join Protest this Thursday on Taanit Esther!
Thursday, February 25 2010, 2:00pm - 3:00pm

This Thursday (February 25th), join Uri L'Tzedek & ORA on the Lower East Side of Manhattan at Jodamo International (321 Grand Street) to protest for an Agunah.

Joseph and his wife, Esther, have been separated for two and a half years, yet he still refuses to give her a Get. Instead of ending his abusive behavior, Joseph solicited the support of certain corrupt extortionist rabbis. Joseph is living with and being supported by his family. The Beit Din Orchos Mishpat has issued a clear psak (binding decision) against Joseph stating that it is a "mitzvah and responsibility for anyone to assist her and do whatever possible in order to free her from the chains which bind her as an agunah." Please demonstrate your intolerance for Get-abuse and your support for Esther by joining us to protest against Joseph and his family who enable him to continue on his path of recalcitrance. On Taanit Esther, which commemorates the rallying of the Jewish people in support of Esther Ha-Malka, please join us in a demonstration in support of Esther Masri.

This protest has been organized by ORA and is supported by Uri L'Tzedek!
