Ever since the Jewish people wandered in the desert, the Jews have been part of a sacred society. As such, the Jewish tradition is not only concerned with one's private ritual practice, but also in applying those spiritual principles in the shared public space. How do we understand this tradition in relation to contemporary questions about the use of public space, such as the development of the East River waterfront? Please join Rabbi Josh Yuter, Uri L'Tzedek and Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ) as we explore how the Jews perceived their public spaces as opportunities for spiritual living. Tuesday, February 23, 7:00pm - Stanton Street Shul - 180 Stanton Street - www.stantonshul.com - Contact Nell with questions -
